At Integral Engineering Co. we have four core values under which we operate and integrate into our company culture.   These four values include:

At Integral Engineering Co., we bring a sense of joy to every project on which we work.  In our view, construction is an exciting time - the birth of a building and the realization of a vision. Approaching each project with excitement and playfulness eases tension, provides release, and creates space to breathe, think and be creative; and it’s fun!

 


 


 

Putting playfulness out in front helps our employees feel that they can gain pleasure from the work they do, and be supported and encouraged in what they say, suggest and do. When time allows, we have experiences and interactions as a team that are light-hearted and fun. Nurturing and allowing these habits makes our staff more satisfied and happy in their day to day roles, and we have seen that this transfers across to the interactions we have with our clients. We feel that by encouraging playfulness, our staff are more able to think outside the box, and have the freedom to create processes and solutions as needed.

We encourage staff to lead full lives and to take care of what is important to them.  Whether it be their family, going on vacation, or taking a mental health day. Ideas and thoughts are all encouraged, helping creativity flourish at Integral Engineering Co.

What we are doing at Integral to encourage and work in the value of playfulness:

  • As we are a virtual workplace and staff work remotely, we make sure we have regular staff interactions.  This includes weekly staff meetings via Microsoft Teams and monthly staff meetings in person, over lunch.
  • We also have quarterly social events, including events like a night at the Denver National Western Center rodeo with staff and their families, or staff breakfast meetings.  We have many fun activities planned for the rest of 2019!
  • All these activities allow us to learn more about each other, have fun, and create a stronger bond, allowing us to work more collaboratively as a team.

In a nutshell, when we are carrying out the value of Playfulness and being a team that generally feels happy and appreciated with freedom to express thoughts and ideas, it in turn encourages creativity.  Playfulness allows our staff to be more open minded and to love the work we all do for Integral Engineering Co. making for a great and positive experience between Integral Engineering Co.’s staff and clients.
